About Pathfinder Volunteer Days
Pathfinder Volunteer Days (PVD) is a boots-on-the-ground effort by sportsmen and sportswomen, private landowners, and wildlife conservation leaders in Wyoming to directly improve habitat, expand wildlife viewing and public hunting access, and strengthen conservation partnerships among attending parties. Projects include removing woven wire fencing and replacing it with wildlife friendly fencing, constructing winter migration gates for big game, building a spring exclosure fence, and enhancing sage-grouse habitat and adding fence reflectors around leks.
Pathfinder Volunteer Days Logistics
Registered volunteers will gather at 8am each day at the Volunteer Days Headquarters at the Pathfinder Buzzard Ranch to assemble into their respective crews. Project locations are within the Robert's Pasture at the Buzzard Ranch and at other nearby locations. Volunteers should bring their own work gloves, sunscreen and bug spray. All fencing tools, shovels, etc is provided by Pathfinder Ranches. Sack lunches / drinks will be provided both days, and dinner is provided to all registered volunteers on Friday, July 12th at Pathfinder Ranch headquarters. Camping is available onsite at the Robert's Pasture or at the Pathfinder Ranch HQ. Restrooms and potable water is available at the Volunteer Days Headquarters.
