Sweetwater Rocks
& Bighorn Sheep

The last resident herds of bighorn sheep disappeared from the Sweetwater Rocks in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The time has arrived for them to return.

Our commitment to habitat sustainability on deeded lands

Pathfinder Ranches, LLC is leading the effort to reintroduce bighorn sheep into the Sweetwater Rocks in central Wyoming, since the last of the Sweetwater Rocks’ native populations of bighorn sheep disappeared over a century ago. As part of Pathfinder’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, we are excited to partner with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department and others that share our dedication to see bighorn sheep in the Rocks again.

Pathfinder’s continued support for bighorn sheep reintroduction is conditioned on having an open and transparent process with opportunities for public engagement and comment, as well as
